Xbox Game Pass October Wave 1: Battlefield 6 Joins on 13 October as Clair Obscur Leaves on the 15th

Battlefield 6 joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on 13 October, headlining a wave of nine games arriving between 8 and 16 October, Xbox Wire announced on 7 October. The same post confirms that nine games leave the library on 15 October, and the biggest name on that list is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

What's coming to Game Pass between 8 and 16 October?

Seven of the nine arrivals are day-one launches, meaning they release on Game Pass the same day they go on sale. The two exceptions are Battlefield 6, which launched on 10 October 2025, and Neon Abyss 2, which has been on Steam since July 2025 and is the only new addition Xbox lists for Game Pass Premium as well as Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Valor Mortis is the other name worth circling: Xbox describes it as a first-person soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner, set among Napoleon's soldiers. Gematsu and Pure Xbox report the same nine-game line-up.

Is Battlefield 6 worth playing on Game Pass?

Critics liked it more than Steam players do. Metacritic lists a Metascore of 83 from 74 reviews, while Battlefield 6's Steam page shows 63.7% positive from 371,460 user reviews, a Mixed rating. It currently costs $34.99 on Steam, half its $69.99 list price.

Xbox's note also matters for EA's own subscription: Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play, which unlocks an EA Play Deployment Pack, a Season 5 EA Play Pack and recurring seasonal rewards in Battlefield 6, plus 10% off eligible EA digital purchases. PC Game Pass is listed for the game, Premium and Essential are not.

Which games leave Game Pass on 15 October?

Nine games leave on 15 October. Most are discounted on Steam right now, during the Steam Autumn Sale, which runs until 8 October, according to Valve's Steamworks calendar, so the prices below may not last.

What should Game Pass players do before 15 October?

If you are partway through Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you have eight days. It is the best-reviewed game leaving, with a Metascore of 92 on Metacritic and 95.2% positive on Steam. Once it leaves, you will need to buy it to keep playing.

If you plan to buy rather than finish, the Steam discounts above end with the Autumn Sale on 8 October, a week before the games leave. Xbox's post invites members to buy the departing games before they go, but does not state a member discount, so check the Xbox store price yourself.
