Elden Ring Nightreign

Elden Ring Nightreign is FromSoftware's standalone co-op spin-off from Elden Ring, released on 30 May 2025 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It keeps the Lands Between's weapons, spells and bestiary but discards the slow, solitary open world. Instead, a squad of up to three Nightfarers drops into Limveld — a reshaped version of Limgrave that rearranges itself between expeditions — and has three in-game days to level up, loot and fight before a Nightlord waits at the end. A ring of encroaching Night shrinks the map on each of those days, so exploration becomes a timed decision: every camp cleared is time not spent somewhere else.

Nightfarers are fixed archetypes with their own Character Skill and Ultimate Art rather than free-form stat builds, and progress between runs is carried by Relics that slot passive effects onto a class.

Since launch FromSoftware has added the Everdark Sovereign boss rotation, the escalating Deep of Night difficulty ladder and, in December 2025, The Forsaken Hollows expansion, which brought two further Nightfarers — the Scholar and the Undertaker.

Nightreign is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
