Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is a 2D action-exploration game in Konami's Castlevania series, co-developed by Konami and Evil Empire, the studio behind The Rogue Prince of Persia, with advisory help from Dead Cells team Motion Twin. It is due on 15 October 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC, where the Steam version is listed at $29.99.
The game is set in Paris in 1499, 23 years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. The protagonist is Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, who carries the family's holy whip, the Vampire Killer, through the burning city, its catacombs and Dracula's castle.
Konami positions Belmont's Curse as the centrepiece of the series' 40th anniversary: the original Castlevania launched on the Famicom Disk System on 26 September 1986. A demo is scheduled for 1 October 2026 on every platform, and save data from it carries over to the full game on the same platform and account.
