AION 2 is NC's sequel to Aion, the Korean MMORPG first released in 2008. It is set 200 years after the original game, after the collapse of the Tower of Eternity, and keeps the series' central idea: two factions of winged Daevas fighting each other, and the Balaur, in a world where flight is part of combat.
The game launched in South Korea and Taiwan on 18 November 2025 on PC, Android and iOS. The global version is a separate service: it runs on Windows PC only, through Steam and NC's own PURPLE launcher, with servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan. Progress from the Korean and Taiwanese versions does not carry over.
Globally, AION 2 is free to play, with paid cosmetics, a Battle Pass and an optional monthly membership that unlocks trading and market features. Paid Founder's Packs bought five days of early access, which opened on 30 September 2026; the free-to-play launch for everyone is set for 5 October 2026.
This hub collects our AION 2 coverage: launch news, Steam player and review data, and explainers built from NC's official notices. We do not claim hands-on play; every figure links to the source it came from.
