Pre-orders for God of War Laufey open on 29 September at 10am local time on the PlayStation Store and at participating retailers, Santa Monica Studio announced on the PlayStation Blog. The game launches on PlayStation 5 on 16 February 2027, and it comes in two editions: Standard and Digital Deluxe.
Because 10am arrives in Oceania and Asia first, those stores are already selling the game. The prices below were read from Sony's own regional PlayStation.com pages at 06:40 UTC on 29 September; US, UK and European prices were not listed yet, and we will add them once those stores open.
When do God of War Laufey pre-orders open where you live?
Sony gives a single rule, 10am local time, rather than a global unlock. Its Southeast Asia post, published at 02:05 UTC, already said pre-orders were live. Here is what 10am means in UTC for the main regions.

How much does God of War Laufey cost?
Sony's post does not give prices, but the regional PlayStation.com pages do once pre-orders are live there. The Australian page links the three PS Store products by name: the standard game, the Digital Deluxe Edition and a Digital Deluxe Upgrade for people who buy the standard version first.

In all six regions the upgrade costs exactly the difference between the two editions, so buying the standard game now and upgrading later costs the same as buying the Deluxe outright. GamesRadar+ expects a $69.99 US price, but that is an estimate: Sony has not confirmed it.

Three details from Sony's small print are worth knowing. The armour and gear items unlock through story progression rather than at the start. The pre-order bonus for the physical Standard Edition comes as a download code. And the Australian PS Store listing warns that pre-orders there require immediate payment. Sony's post lists no collector's edition and no physical Deluxe Edition.
What else did Sony show?
The same post introduced Faye's Serpent Bow. A full press of the aim trigger gives a precise mode with longer draw distance and volleys of up to five arrows; a half press switches to a mobile hip-fire stance for close range. The bow takes interchangeable Scales that change its perk, plus unlockable skills of its own. We keep everything confirmed so far on our God of War Laufey hub.
What we don't know yet
- US, UK and European prices, which should appear when those stores reach 10am.
- Whether a PC version is planned: only PS5 has been announced.
- Unlock times for launch day. The Australian PS Store listing we read shows 15/2/2027, while Sony's blog says 16 February 2027; Sony has not published launch times.
What to do now
If you only want the pre-order bonus, the Standard Edition already includes it, digital or physical. The Deluxe adds one extra gear set plus an artbook and soundtrack, and since the upgrade costs the same as the price gap in every region we checked, there is no penalty for deciding later. With launch nearly five months away and immediate payment required on the PS Store listing we read, waiting for reviews is also a reasonable option.
