Phantom Blade Zero is a single-player action RPG from Chinese studio S-GAME, built in Unreal Engine 5 and set in a dark wuxia world the studio calls "Kungfupunk": Hong Kong martial arts cinema mixed with mechanical prosthetics, folk horror and fantasy. You play as Soul, a swordsman framed for the murder of his master and left with sixty-six days to live, hunted by his former comrades while he unpicks the conspiracy behind it.
Combat is the centrepiece. S-GAME promises more than thirty weapons and over twenty "Phantom Edges" to mix and match, with weapons and their signature techniques taken from defeated enemies. The fight choreography was motion-captured with martial artists, and actor and filmmaker Donnie Yen has been a creative consultant since 2023.
The game was first dated for 9 September 2026 at The Game Awards 2025, then moved to 29 October 2026 (28 October in the Americas) in a letter from the creative director in June. It launches digitally on PS5 and on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, priced at $59.99 for the standard edition on Steam. PS5 physical editions follow in 2027, and Sony's deal keeps it off other consoles for at least 12 months after launch.
