Persona 6 Adds Switch 2 — Still No Release Date
Persona 6 is officially announced and now confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2, but Atlus still hasn't given it a date. Here's every platform fact on the record.

Persona 6 is the first numbered entry in Atlus's high-school-and-the-supernatural RPG series since Persona 5 arrived in Japan in 2016, and it was revealed with almost nothing attached to it. The announcement came during Microsoft's June 2026 showcase, and what the teaser contains is mood rather than information: rain, a silhouetted figure under branching black shapes, hands, a flickering letter W. No protagonist, no city, no combat, no date.
What Atlus and Sega have actually committed to is narrower and worth stating plainly. The game is a standalone story with a new cast, built by P-Studio, and it does not require having played any earlier Persona. It is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Steam, arrives day one on Game Pass, and in September 2026 gained a Nintendo Switch 2 version — the first time a mainline Persona has been announced for Nintendo hardware at reveal rather than ported there years later.
Everything beyond that — setting, staff, battle system, release window — remains unannounced, and a good deal of what circulates online traces back to a Steam data leak rather than to Atlus.
