Mycopunk is a four-player co-op, mission-based looter shooter developed by Pigeons at Play and published by Devolver Digital. Players control a squad of robot rejects, the New Atlas Hazard Crew, hired by the SAXON corporation to exterminate fungal aliens and investigate a planet-wide fungal catastrophe. The pitch on its Steam page leans on build-crafting: hundreds of hand-made upgrades that change how each weapon and ability behaves.
The game entered Steam Early Access on 10 July 2025 and was updated steadily through 2026, including the Freeze & Fester update in August 2026, which opened a new region called The Swamp. Player reception on Steam has stayed strong: 88.4% of 4,774 user reviews were positive when AFK Journal checked on 15 October 2026.
Version 1.0 is due on 20 October 2026, the same day the game makes its console debut on PS5 as a day-one addition to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium members.
