Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is Koei Tecmo and Omega Force's rebuild of the 2001 PlayStation 2 action game that helped build the series' following in the West (in Japan the same game is Shin Sangoku Musou 2). It launched on 1 October 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, where it costs $39.99 and appeared on 30 September in US time zones.

The remaster keeps the original's structure, stages and Romance of the Three Kingdoms storyline, folds in the content of the Xtreme Legends expansion and brings back offline split-screen for two players across the Musou, Free and Versus modes. Reviews describe a ground-up visual overhaul in Unreal Engine 5 plus optional modern mechanics such as a dedicated dodge, counterattacks, Weapon Fusion and checkpoint rewinds.

A Digital Deluxe Edition adds 42 weapons, 42 retro costumes based on the original game, extra items and an officer concept art collection. A planned version for the original Nintendo Switch was dropped when the October date was announced in June 2026.

This hub collects AFK Journal's coverage of the remaster: our evidence-based review, which combines critic and Steam player scores with a published formula, and any later updates as Koei Tecmo patches the game.
