Total War: Warhammer III is the third and final part of Creative Assembly's fantasy strategy trilogy, published by SEGA and released on PC on 17 February 2022. Like every Total War game, it splits play between a turn-based campaign map, where you manage settlements, diplomacy and armies, and large real-time battles where you command infantry, monsters, heroes and magic directly.
Its biggest mode is Immortal Empires, a sandbox campaign that merges the maps, races and Legendary Lords of all three games into one world. Since the Lords of the End Times expansion and the free Update 9.0 arrived on 24 September 2026, any of that expansion's four individual Legendary Lord packs also works as an entry ticket to Immortal Empires, without owning any of the three base games.
On Steam its lifetime user rating is Mostly Positive: 72% of 149,139 reviews in all languages were positive when we checked on 26 September 2026. Big content drops still push it back up the charts, and after Lords of the End Times it climbed from 68th to 26th on Steam's weekly most-played list.
