RuneScape: Dragonwilds is Jagex's open-world survival RPG, the third game in the RuneScape family after RuneScape and Old School RuneScape. Instead of an MMO, it is a co-op survival game: you build a base, gather and craft, train RuneScape-style skills and fight your way through Ashenfall, a continent to the north-east of Gielinor that the older games never visited.

The game launched in Steam early access and left it with its full release on 15 September 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. On Steam it sells for $29.99. Jagex's chief executive Jon Bellamy said in July 2026 that it had sold 1.3 million copies in early access, against an internal expectation of around 200,000.

Jagex's roadmap, revealed at RuneFest 2026, adds a free December update called Luminance (elves, the Lyre and the Prayer skill) and a two-chapter Blood Crystal Saga in 2027, with the Hunter skill, official modding, secure servers and leaderboards. Ashenfall is also where Jagex's next RuneScape MMO, working title RS4, will begin.
