Path of Exile 2 1.0: Everything We Know About the Full Release
Path of Exile 2 goes free-to-play and leaves early access on 11 December 2026. Here's what GGG has confirmed, what's due at ExileCon and what's still unknown.

Path of Exile 2 is Grinding Gear Games' free-to-play action RPG and the sequel to Path of Exile, the New Zealand studio's long-running loot-and-build game. It entered paid early access on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in December 2024 and is due to leave early access with its 1.0 full release on 11 December 2026, when it becomes fully free-to-play.
Like the first game, it is built around an enormous passive skill tree, socketable skill gems and an economy of crafting currencies, but with slower, weightier combat, dodge rolls and boss fights designed more like a Soulslike than a classic click-to-kill ARPG. The campaign leads into an endgame Atlas of maps that players push for months, refreshed by leagues that reset the economy.
Early access added classes and systems in large numbered patches, from the Huntress in 0.2 to the Druid in 0.4 and the Runes of Aldur league with 0.5 in May 2026. The Duelist, the game's sword class, arrives with 1.0, and GGG is expected to detail the rest of the full release at ExileCon in November 2026.
This hub collects AFK Journal's Path of Exile 2 guides, news and features: what GGG has confirmed for 1.0, how the free-to-play launch works, and explanations of the systems that new players will meet when the paywall comes down. Every page cites GGG's own announcements and patch notes, with dates.
