ARC Raiders Hits 166,670 Steam Players After Frozen Trail, but New Reviews Dip to 63%
Frozen Trail and a free weekend gave ARC Raiders its biggest Steam crowd since April. Its newest reviews, though, are far cooler than the 82% lifetime score.

ARC Raiders is a multiplayer extraction shooter from Embark Studios, the Stockholm studio behind The Finals. It launched on 30 October 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players head up from the underground hub of Speranza to the surface of a ruined future Earth, scavenge loot while hostile ARC machines patrol the Rust Belt, and try to extract alive — while other Raiders can choose to help them or shoot them.
Embark has said the game was first conceived around seven years before launch as a raid-based PvE co-op game, then reset into the PvPvE extraction design it shipped with. That history matters again now: in September 2026 the studio said 51% of surveyed players wanted a dedicated PvE option, and it scheduled a PvE matchmaking test for 13–20 October 2026.
The game was a hit on Steam, where it holds a Very Positive rating from more than 420,000 reviews, but its player count fell sharply through mid-2026. The Frozen Trail 2.0 update of 8 October 2026 — a new map, Pendola Pass, the airborne Frigate encounter, new enemies, a reworked skill tree and the Outpost base — brought it back near the top of Steam's chart. This hub collects our news and guides on ARC Raiders, with sources and dates on every figure.
